What can I say about this store? #horrible The majority of the staff is mediocre at best. There are a few associates that should not be there due to their excellent standard of service, but obviously Burlingtons must only need warm bodies in the store, not quality people who can exceed the expected rate of service. Stephen, the store manager, great person! I believe, in fact, I am 200% certain he would be better without that operations "manager", Sonia, this rude, vindictive, evil ******* is the WORST this company has to offer. She strolls ALL around the store screaming into the radio at other associates where customers can hear things that should be discussed in either close quarters or private areas of the store. She demanded an associate to pick up a "TEAM LIFT' box by herself and threatened to terminate her if she did not complete the task. If that lady would have lifted that box, then Burlingtons would have been in a Worker's Compensation case for this associate. Luckily the customer who wanted to purchase the item was a gentleman and agreed to assist the lady, when the manager could have assisted her! PATHETIC! On another time, I am overhearing this lady call a few associates FAT! Disrespectful! She stated they could afford to lose some pounds walking around the store! My concern is, How many good associates have left this company due to this tyrannical behavior? Does it matter? I am sure not as long as this store produces sales! Right?! Does it matter that she also informed a customer that they are disgusting and should not be allowed indoors for the way they treated the restrooms? Is that appropriate? I WILL NEVER SHOP AT BURLINGTONS AGAIN! I refuse to spend my hard earned money at a store that despotize their associates. I am certain this may not be a concern, but at the turnover rate of associates in stores like these, it will be a matter of time before the doors close for good. If corporate does not resolve this issue Sonia will be the DOWNFALL of this store, then it will be too late for recovery for this poor store.
